This paper studies how to find a path with the least link delay in a multi-radio multi-channel (MR-MC) network. Different from a single-radio single-channel (SR-SC) network, the design of a routing protocol in MR-MC network needs to take into account the impact of intra-flow interference and inter-flow interference. In addition, load balancing also plays a very important role in improving wireless network performance. In this article, we focus on the minimum link delay and propose a new routing metric called Link Channel Diversity End-to-end Delay (LCDEED), which takes into account not only the transmission delay but also the queuing delay. Then we also propose a novel routing scheme by modifying Optimized Link State Routing (OLSR) protocol to apply our proposed metric. The simulation results show that the routing metric we proposed has improved the performance of the MR-MC network.
