Power system’s data transmission between different information systems are becoming more and more common these days, while some of the data could be missing or wrong due to cyber security and communication issues. In this regard, this paper proposes a pre-processing method for substation-level active and reactive measurement data obtained from the “big data platform” built by the information center in utilities to collect and store the data, which is originally from EMS in distribution system operation center. Firstly, we use Lagrange’s interpolation method to deal with the missing data of power substations, and then, the abnormal data of the substation is detected based on whether it’s fixed for too many time slots, or, fluctuates with abnormal speed. The completeness and accuracy of substation data after pre-processing have been effectively improved, and the characteristics of data become obvious, which can be used for further data mining and analysis.
