PROCESSING AND ADJUSTMENT OF A TRAVERSE NETWORK
U. Ethrog, Benjamin Shmutter · Survey Review · 1982
A net of traverses is used very often as a reference frame for various projects in engineering surveying and land settlement operations. One of the major requirements imposed on the processing of a traverse net is to maintain its inner precision and to ascertain the correct location of adjacent net points relative to each other. This requirement can be met only if the net is processed as a whole, thus avoiding unfavourable error accumulations in various links of the net, which may occur when the net is broken down in separate elements-individual traverses based one upon the other.
