Comparisons Between Median Filter and Proposed Morphological Operations Based on the Denoising Process
Zhi Wang · 2021
Imaging processing is important topic in graphics and imaging denoising has been widely studied from many perspectives. In this paper, Median Filter and Morphological Operators are introduced to study how their behaviors can affect the SNR and how reconstructed images will look like after applying these two methods to them individually in different noise density levels of 20%, 40%, 60% and 80%. These simulation procedures include preprocessing testing image and apply median filter/morphological operations with manually selected window sizes to reconstruct the image and make comparisons in each case.
