Incentive Scoring Mechanism Design in Battle Royale Games

Battle Royale games are popular among players in recent years. The mainstream Battle Royale games utilize a rank-based scoring mechanism which calculates scores for knockout and for surviving time separately. However, our simulating experiments show that the currently used mechanism has little incentive for the high-skill-level teams, which is unfair and may discourage those teams. Besides, we raise three graph-based mechanisms to overcome this shortcoming while keeping a similar performance in ranking the teams. Experimental results also show that one of the mechanisms we raise can also be used for evaluating the skill of all teams.
