In this chapter, you will be working with Maya’s nParticles system. When you watch FX shots in films, you can see multiple dust particles or magical particles that simulate the necessary environment; these are all created with nParticles. Hence, familiarizing yourself nParticles tools will give you better insight into their use. To access nParticles, you need switch to FX mode, as shown in Figure 5-1.
