A novel wireless clustering routing method based on artificial intelligence algorithms is proposed in this paper to solve the problems of unreasonable clustering and short network life for wireless sensor network in sewage treatment monitoring system. Firstly, we use a combination of meta-heuristic swarm intelligent firefly and K-Means algorithms to establish the global optimal network clustering, which effectively increase the operational speed and accelerates the convergence at the same time. Then, at the stage of cluster-head election, the objective function is improved by taking into account the location, distance and residual energy of sensor node comprehensively, which avoids the premature death and excessive energy consumption of sensor network. Finally, at the stage of data transmission, cluster heads far away from the base station will choose to transmit data in the form of the shortest multiple hops instead of single hop according to reduce energy consumption. Simulation results indicate that the proposed F-LEACH routing method can overcome the deficiencies of traditional LEACH protocol effectively. Compared with other improved ones, the energy consumption of routing process is reduced obviously, and the network survival time is extended effectively.
