The article proposes an approach to modeling an air-ground system for monitoring airspace with an adaptive spatial-spaced structure for timely detection of air targets in a given area. The proposed solution is based on a hierarchical model of a monitoring system in conditions of conflict interaction with location objects. The developed models of ground and air-based sensors and algorithms for their placement, taking into account the realization of the maximum probability of detecting air targets with the available resource of the monitoring system, made it possible to form a tool for assessing the monitoring system control strategies by moving air-based sensors and to obtain a basis for further synthesis of adaptive control algorithms. Based on the results of simulation, a number of conclusions were drawn and the prospects for further development of the model were considered.
