Modelling of the Factors Influence on the Quality of the Digitization Process of Old Books by Fuzzy Logic

Based on such pre-established priority factors as the old book condition, optical density range, software functionality and scanning devise features, using the foundations of fuzzy logic, a fuzzy knowledge base has been formed, logical equations have been constructed and the quality of the digitization process of old books has been quantified. To calculate the quantitative indicator of the digitization process quality, a defuzzification operation has been performed according to the “centre of gravity” principle.
