The article considers the possibility of students building individual educational trajectories. The relevance of the work is determined by the development strategy of Education 4.0. The task of building an individual educational program of the student is solved within the framework of the recommendation system based on knowledge. The algorithm for constructing an individual educational trajectory is decomposed into tasks to determine the abilities, interests, needs, motivation, opportunities, and experience of students and to determine the list of disciplines that will be included in the individual student curriculum. The task of determining the list of disciplines is decomposed into subtasks of determining the list of areas of knowledge for the profession chosen by the student and the definition of keywords for the subjects of selected fields of knowledge. Domain Ontology is used to represent user preferences, user relationships, student knowledge, and learning resources. Ontologies of subject areas are based on a list of areas of knowledge. The methods of latent-semantic analysis and Latent Dirichlet allocation are used to determine the student's academic interests from the keywords they have entered into the system. Software implementation of the recommender system is developed.
