Radu‐Emil Precup, Raul‐Cristian Roman, Ali Safaei · 2021
This chapter describes the combinations of model-free and model-free adaptive controllers with fuzzy controllers in terms of adding fuzzy logic terms for performance improvement. These combinations target the exploitation of the advantages of data-driven model-free control and fuzzy control. The presentation starts with a short overview of fuzzy logic and control. The theory and the algorithms specific to hybrid model-free fuzzy control and hybrid model-free adaptive fuzzy control are next discussed. The applications of these controllers are focused on the position control of tower crane systems. Simulation and experimental results are offered.
