Assessing Information Security in Telecommunication Systems

The paper describes a new method of assessing the security of critical information systems. To assess the degree of security, it is proposed to rank threats based on method “Analytic hierarchy process” (AHP) and to determine the risk factor of the totality of threats, taking into account the rank of threats to each specific telecommunications system.
