Tracking the Spawning of Group with Poisson multi-Bernoulli mixture Filter

In group target tracking, spawning is an important event of group target motion. This paper proposes a Poisson multi-Bernoulli mixture (PMBM) filter based on group target spawning. The algorithm models the target extension by random matrix and predicts spawning event according to multiple hypothesis structure. The missed detection can be reduced due to the priori information given by spawned subgroup targets. The simulation shows that the proposed algorithm could improve the tracking performance for group spawning event.
