A STATISTICAL ANALYSIS OF RADIO SYSTEM COVERAGE ACCEPTANCE TESTING
Christopher Ian Hill, Bruce C. Olson · 1994
Coverage acceptance testing of radio system coverage must be performed in a statistical manner in order to be valid. The Coverage Acceptance Test Plan (CATP), though independent statistically, must match the coverage prediction parameters in order to provide proof of performance. Coverage prediction parameters are discussed and statistical methods of proving that reliable radio system coverage exists over the coverage area presented. A hardware/software package called FACTWARE is introduced which, in combination with a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver, automatically collects data for the proof of these methods.
