employing three radial nodes and SPY 2 employing six radial nodes to describe the thermal transient effects in terms of fuel-element meat, cladding, and surface temperatures, and bulk-coolant temperatures. Each version contains an option for eliminating all thermal and hydraulic calculations in one of the three channels. Operation of the program requires an IBM-704 digital computer of 16,000-word minimum core storage. (auth)
