Specifications of Sandia prototype network communications interface between applications software and NSC A120 adapters

The goal of the prototype network is to provide a software development tool for various network nodes of the Sandia Scientific Computer Network before they are connected to the production network. This report describes the software and function definitions that will be used in a CDC 7600 level computer for data communications interface between the prototype network input/output mechanism and the physical level of transmission.
