Blockchain systems have attracted various industry stakeholders, including those in finance, healthcare, utilities, real estate, and government, since it solves many security problems in distributed systems. Public blockchains will play a significant role in cyber-security and Internet of Things (IoT) security as the commercial, government, and military sectors become more comfortable with it. At the same time, security and privacy problems in public blockchains will need to be addressed before they can be incorporated into existing core cloud and IoT devices.
