Cyberattacks and Risk Management Strategy in Internet of Things Architecture
Saurabh Bhatt, Bharat Bhushan · Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity · 2021
The internet of things (IoT) is the system of portable devices connected to a wireless network that is responsible for collecting and transmitting data without human intervention. Many studies in the field of the IoT are still ongoing. The expansion of the IoT field is still in its early stages and many problems still need to be solved. Hence, in such scenarios, cybersecurity is becoming increasingly important in preventing threats to vulnerable IoT systems such as, denial of service (DoS), information leaks and so on. The goals of this chapter are to deliver an in-depth review of cybersecurity-oriented IoT architecture, provide insights into cyberthreats for the IoT, provide security necessities, outline the cyber-challenges and give visions on how these challenges can be fixed. Finally, the chapter tries to offer new directions and research trends in correlation with IoT with cybersecurity.
