Solid waste has become a major problem for the environment. Nowadays, due to the increasing population and demands of the developing countries, the generation of solid waste has increased as well. It is a big challenge for engineers, scientists, and researchers to find out an amicable way to utilize the solid waste generated and convert this waste into valuables. Paper waste, fly ash, coirs are the major components of the geo-solid waste that contributes on a large scale to the total quantity of waste. The purpose of our project is to make use of those geo-solid waste in construction by making eco-friendly, economical lightweight composite paper bricks and cubes called Geo-Fiber Papercrete Bricks and blocks, respectively. This construction technology is nowadays, research and popular throughout the world, which can be used to make lightweight bricks, grills, tiles as well as for repair purpose. This paper attempts to review the literature on Geo-Fiber papercrete elements from waste and bring out the salient features of construction, material properties, and the special techniques. The recommendations of this study include the addition of coconut coir in ordinary papercrete to increase the tensile strength and to reduce the crack width. The study concludes that Geo-Fiber papercrete will certainly be better non-structural alternatives for RCC in the future.
