The rapid development and broad application of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) bring new requirements for the sound pickup of UAVs. Beamforming techniques can be used to improve the quality of the audio signal recording in an interference environment. This study uses the differential microphone array (DMA) beamforming to pick up sound under high-level UAV noise. A first-order DMA with at most eight microphones is used and the results show that the UAV noise in the direction of array end-fire could be suppressed up to 15dB. Besides, increasing the number of microphones can expand the frequency range for effective noise suppression
