Stateless Zone Base Routing Protocol for Mobile Ad hoc Wireless Sensor Networks

Sehba Masood, Aasim Zafar · 2021

In Mobile Ad hoc Wireless Sensor Network, mobility of nodes leads to path breakage which needs rerouting of packets via another path otherwise packets will be dropped. This results in delay or loss of packets. SPEED [2] is a QoS based protocol but it does not consider energy constraint and mobility. ZBR [1] is a reactive and energy efficient zone-based routing protocol for mwsn which is not suitable for real time communication. Therefore, we propose an energy efficient QoS based protocol for real time communication in mobile wsn. In this stateless routing protocol, forwarding nodes are selected on the basis of the node's residual energy, mobility and relay speed thus increasing the network lifetime and providing better quality of service. Simulation experiments of the proposed protocol were carried out on ns3.
