Due to the growing demand for the communication and computation of vehicular applications and services, the concept of Vehicular Edge Computing (VEC) was introduced a few years ago to increase its computing capacity. This brings cloud computing services in the processing and analysis of data close to the user, i.e. on the edge of the network. Nowadays with the new era of the Internet of Things (IoT), modern vehicles are envisioned as smart objects equipped with high numbers of sensors, actuators, control units, computing facilities, and storage capacity. The combination between these technologies is the rise of a new concept called Vehicular Edge of Things Computing (VEoTC). This paradigm improves a variety of location-based vehicular services and applications inside cities and reduces the traffic overload in the public communication network. In our research work, we study a simple simulation environment using the EdgeCloudSim simulator to clarify the VEoTC architecture. Our main goal is to investigate a more advanced simulator to simulate our proposed architecture in different scenarios in the future.
