In the era of data-driven, the fields of mathematics, statistics, computer science, information technology and other computer-related fields have become more popular for students and people. Several universities, institutes and companies start to set up new courses across these fields causing a new course may cover several topics to study. By this, it is a challenge for teachers, students and learners to find the right supplementary books that mostly relate to the topics of the new course. To address this issue, an efficient Supplementary Book Suggestion system, also called eSBS system, is introduced to efficiently discover books with contents mostly relevant to that of the course. With eSBS system, it is more convenient, less time-consuming to find the right book and may help to encourage people for further reading. Experiments were done on CS’ course descriptions of Thai universities and show that the eSBS system outperforms previous systems in terms of accuracy, precision, recall, F-measure and average & total percentages of coverage on contents.
