Advances in remote sensing imaging quality and resolution and the utilization of new sensors as Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), calls for new techniques in the analysis and interpretation of new classes of high complexity pictures. The modem trend in image analysis and computer vision is to extend the measurements and interpretation tasks with artificial intelligence, model based analysis and computer graphics methods.
