Artificial Neural Network : a tool for approximating complex functions

This paper is a mathematical introduction to Artificial Neural Network (ANN). We will show how it is used as a method for approximating functions. We will see how it is used to solve problems in machine learning such as face recognition, handwritten recognition or how it is used to solve partial differential equations.
