Although cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin get most of the media attention, it is the underlying blockchain technology powering cryptocurrency that is poised to revolutionize aspects of the legal profession. This article begins by reviewing the rise of cryptocurrencies and their ethical implications for lawyers. It then turns to blockchain technology, providing an accessible overview of the technology designed for the legal audience.
