Research on Fairness Between High Speed TCP Variants and DCCP

【Abstract】This paper uses ns-2 simulation to evaluate the fairness between four mainstream high speed TCP variants and DCCP in various network environments. Simulation shows that, concerning fairness to DCCP, the performances of the four variants are as follow: CUBIC(best), HS-TCP, BIC, STCP(worst). The results contributes to a more comprehensive assessment of the high speed TCP variants and also provides guidelines for the design of new variants.
