Orthographic Visualization and Auxiliary Views

Eric Appleton · 2021

The first modules of this chapter focus on visualizing objects via multi-view orthographic projection and continue to link specific line styles to the features they describe. The miter line is introduced as an information transfer method between non-adjacent orthographic views. To show the true shape of inclined and oblique planes, auxiliary views are introduced. Section views may be required to fully describe an inclined plane and are introduced as part of the discussion on auxiliary views. The chapter concludes with a checklist review of Chapters 1 , 2 , and 3 .
