No-signaling topological quantum computation in intelligent environment

Tomoyuki Morimae · arXiv (Cornell University) · 2012

The theory of fault-tolerant quantum computation guarantees correct quantum computations when errors are physically natural. What happens if the nature has an intelligence, and attacks our quantum computers with precisely tuned artificial errors? Here, we show that the no-signaling principle and the topological quantum error correcting code enable an exponentially small probability of being fooled by such an intelligent nature.
