[EN]This volume contains the papers presented at SYSMICS 2016: Syntax Meets Semantics 2016 held on September 5-9, 2016 in Barcelona. There were 37 accepted papers and 7 invited talks. This conference is the first of a series of meetings planned in the ”SYSMICS” RISE project during 2016-2019. The project website can be found at http://logica.dmi.unisa.it/sysmics/.
