Morphological Map based Single Image Defogging

foggy and hazy weather conditions causes several problems in different practical scenarios such as detection and tracking of object, automatic vehicle assistance, surveillance etc. Images captured during these poor weather conditions are deteriorated in terms of image sharpness and color contrast. In this paper, morphological map based defogging techniques has been proposed. Proposed technique is compared with state-of-the-art methods using different parameters. Comparison result shows that proposed technique gives better result in terms of image quality.
