Conducting Research to Inform User Interface Requirements
Michael Wiklund, Erin Davis, Alexandria Trombley, Jacqueline Edwards · 2021
This chapter describes the various methods one might use to collect inputs for UI requirements. For example, readers might conduct observations, one-on-one interviews, group interviews, and literature searches to learn about their users and the intended use environments. This chapter also describes how a manufacturer might convert their research learnings into user interface requirements.
