ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND ITS CHALLENGES FOR INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY IN INDIA

Artificial intelligence (AI) is one of today's most crucial technologies Once thought to be a distant possibility reserved for science fiction, advances in AI research have propelled the technology out of the realms of fiction and onto the verge of kicking off a fourth industrial revolution that is expected to have far-reaching effects on humanity and is “likely to leave no stratum of society untouched.” AI-based apps have already had an impact on people's lives in ways that are frequently not fully appreciated or comprehended. Until recently, the private sector has mostly pushed the spread of AI technology, which has generally been focused on consumer items. In the short and medium-term, AI technology has the potential to offer efficiency and cost savings to industries such as manufacturing, commerce, transportation, medical care, education, and farming. AI technology is already prevalent. It recommends information to people online, helps businesses work more efficiently, and can even drive automobiles — while AI technology has limitations. AI advancements provide concerns that are expected to alter legal frameworks, including different facets of intellectual property law.
