Review of the Medical Internet of Things-Based RFID Security Protocols
Nagarjuna Telagam, Nehru Kandasamy · 2021
The security for medical data of patients plays a critical role in the medical field-based IoT. Recently, researchers have proposed RFID-based authentication protocols for medical applications that depend entirely on the Internet of things. The lightweight and safety mechanism is possible in RFID technology, which results in rapidly increasing demand in future generation networks. In this chapter, protocols such as lightweight RFID mutual authentication are briefly discussed, which can be applied to secure communication and privacy in medical IoT systems. The E-health care-based RFID protocols-based cloud system has enhanced formal security models; this e-health based protocol is discussed briefly in this chapter. These protocols have proved high efficiency concerning different security concerns. The RFID tag was explained broadly with different privacy concerns in the Telecare medicine information system, especially in health care fields. In this chapter, the pros and cons of varying authentication protocols, especially in medical health care, are broadly discussed.
