Digital technology and digital computing are an inevitable part of the realization of electronic devices in today’s world. Quantum-dot cellular automata, or QCA, is a paradigm in the nanoscale order for the realization of digital logic. In nanotechnology, QCA provides new computing paradigms that do not use traditional transistor-based technology. Compared with existing CMOS-based technology, it adds required features such as increased speed, smaller size, and lower power consumption. Thus we can formulate solutions to traditional computational problems by deriving advantages from QCA technology. The chapter utilized QCA technology to check various encoder circuits, Following this, the study used layered 2-input NAND gate and NOR gates to build a 4 to 2 encoder, priority encoder, and octal to binary encoder circuits along with the energy calculations.
