Article 31—Entry into Force

Abstract This chapter includes the dates of the entry into force of the European copyright directive, Directive 2019/790. It points out that this Directive will be implemented on the twentieth day following the date of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union. The Directive was published in the Official Journal of the European Union on 17 May 2020 and entered into force on 7 June 2019. The chapter also mentions that Directive 2019/790 took effect on 7 June 2019 and was published in the Official Journal of the European Union on 17 May 2020.
