Course Goals: To apply and review the basic concepts, principles, and issues in research which are relevant to the field of psychology. Facilitate critical thinking and problem solving among students. Develop the skills necessary to critically evaluate research. Gain a better understanding of the scientific process and the importance of sound methodology. Design, conduct, and present the findings of a research project. Improve one's ability to communicate in a professional manner.Develop the ability to receive and utilize feedback. Develop one's professionalism, including attention to detail, time management skills, and acceptance of personal responsibility.The manner in which we pursue these goals will be consistent with the Department's mission.
