The purpose of grouping various wireless cell gadgets that connect or communicate with each other and form a community among them without the aid of any centralized infrastructure is the only description that a mobile ad-hoc network can hold. MANET can be elaborated as Mobile ad-hoc network. The mobile nodes in MANETs dynamically modify their topology and thus require an efficient method to interact with each other. There are many different clustering methods for MANET situations, such as mobile clustering purpose, balancing clustering algorithm, energy efficient, and amalgamated approach for clustering and so on. This study compares several energy efficient routing techniques to determine node fidelity and mobility characteristics of cellular nodes. Various algorithms, including as AODV, DSR, On-Demand, Shortest Path, and others, support these protocols. The sole purpose of this research is to determine how various energy efficient procedures aided in the selection of the optimal cluster head node among all nodes in the geographical zone. It also lists their distinguishing characteristics for easier comprehension.
