A Behaviour‐Based Authentication to Internet of Things Using Machine Learning
Mohit Goyal, Durgesh Kumar Srivastava · 2021
This chapter discusses new security challenges in the Internet of Things (IoT) using machine learning algorithm. It aims to determine the classifier technique that mainly will use a machine learning algorithm for providing the behavior-based biometric authentication which is based on human behaviour. In an IoT network, various authentication models can be used like smart card and password and biometric-based authentication. Various security challenges and threats have an impact on an IoT device. IoT architecture is partitioned mainly into three layers: Application Layer, Network Layer and Perception Layer. An authentication is the process of recognizing users and devices in a network and gives permission to access to authorized persons and valid devices. These are classified into the following categories: authentication based on knowledge, authentication based on possession, authentication based on biometric. The chapter focuses on the search for great methods of behavioral-based biometric user authentication using machine learning approach.
