Clustering concept is a mechanism which is ubiquitous in all the field to unveil the similarity and helps to understand the pattern. A footprint of k-means Clustering algorithm brings the great pan to strike many problem in research field from Data Science to Networking. Many technology and concept in IT adopted this algorithm for betterment the performance and as a placement of master node in topologies. The vision of this chapter is to understand the popularity of k-means clustering algorithm and exploring the cognitive properties in current technology with suitable case studies.
