Harris Hawk algorithm has received a lot of attention due to its few control parameters, simplicity and practicality. However, there are still some shortcomings, such as the problem of slow convergence, and hard to maintain the balance between exploration and exploitation when dealing with complex multimodal problems. Therefore, we introduce the golden sine mechanism into the Harris Hawk algorithm, called GSHHO, to enhance the global search capability. Experiments on the benchmark function show that the improved algorithm can effectively enhance the population diversity and its performance is better than the original algorithm.
