This chapter describes our study of human tutoring. A corpus of tutor-student interactions was collected in the domain of Computer Science data structures: linked lists, stacks and binary search trees. These interactions were video recorded, and subsequently transcribed and annotated for multiple linguistic features of interest. The corpus was subsequently analyzed to discover the distributional properties of these features, and how they correlated with students&s; learning during the tutoring sessions.
