Cloud computing uses virtualized and distributed technology that offers on demand resource allocation upon client’s request. Clients store their data into the cloud server in order to retrieve it from anywhere in the world and removes the resident copy. Keeping multiple copies of data in different locations of the cloud server, provides redundancy in cloud storage. Remote data integrity checking of outsourced multiple replicas for security is possible with various auditing schemes. Some multi-replica auditing schemes support verification of dynamic operations. Data integrity checking of multiple copies aims to prevent the altering of data and provides reliability to all stored copies. In this paper, a review and a comparative study of multi-replica verification methods is discussed by identifying an economical and secure method. A future guideline to the researchers is also mentioned.
