The Automatic Gain Control (AGC) is a key component in any communication device specifically in the Bluetooth. The Automatic Gain Control is used at the receiver end of the Bluetooth. At the receiver end there is always a need for a component such that the signals received at the receiver end must maintain a constant output. A Dual Mode Bluetooth was considered here, it has both classic Bluetooth and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to get the best of both the worlds, like powerful, long-range with power-saving. In AGC there is always a scope of improvement in the fine tuning of gain and gain settling time. Here, there is always a need to maintain a constant output for various scenarios of input signals. So, coarse tuning and fine tuning are required to get a constant output signal also improve the gain-settling time to work in the real-time scenario and develop various test cases to check the correctness or functionality of the Automatic Gain Control. Here, low pass filters and amplifiers are used to maintain a constant gain output and the software tools used here were Synopsys VCS for functional verification and Cadence Xcelium for simulation. The developed Automatic Gain Control works for the various test cases and it is fine-tuned apart from the coarse tuning which helps in reception of signals without loss of information and maintains a constant output.
