Nowadays, it is not that much easy to imagine a world without Internet, especially a world without Cloud. Cloud is also one of the significant areas which plays a vital role in Information sharing over the Internet. As it is known, Cloud Computing is impossible without Virtualization, IaaS. Of Course, Network Virtualization is the life - force of Infrastructure Providers such as IaaS providers. Moreover, IaaS providers have their sustainability rate, based on Acceptance Ratio of Virtual Network Requests received. Nevertheless, Acceptance Ratio is not the only factor to be focussed, factors like Business Continuity, Customer Satisfaction, etc., will also take IaaS providers to the next stage. In this scenario, embedding the virtual nodes onto the substrate nodes in an optimized way, is an essential one to beat other Infrastructure Providers. The degree of optimization may be achieved in the aspects of Acceptance Ratio, Energy Efficiency, etc. The proposed Wheel Graph-based Nelder Mead Virtual Network Embedding (WGNM-VNE) algorithm focuses on providing a location-aware energy efficient virtual network to be embedded onto the substrate nodes. This WGNM-VNE algorithm becomes Energy Efficient and location aware algorithm by including Wheel Graph based approach and Nelder Mead optimization technique respectively. The proposed WGNM-VNE approach, when compared with other state of art technologies and their simulation result outperform by providing 21.5% improvement in Energy Efficiency and a 6.5% improvement in acceptance ratio.
