Eliminating minor stoppages on automated lines : (1) focuses on error related stops, especially parts handling error in automated machines and automated lines (2) used mean time between failures (MTBF) as measurement criteria for evaluating minor stopages (3) describes throgh improvements based on case studies where the MTBF for minor stoppages was increased by a factor of 20 (the stoppages frequency rate was reduced to 1/20 its former level)
