Reminiscing The Wibree Technology: An Achievement In Contemporary Research On Wireless Telecommunications

When mobile phone technology giant Nokia announced the development of Wibree, the wireless radio technology, many analysts, competitors, and experts responded with mixed reactions.However, like other inventions brought into being for the advancement of human life, the introduction of the Wibree has contributed a lot in various ways and to the betterment of our lives and living conditions.This study submits a review of the literature on the Wibree technology from multiple perspectives.It argues that filling a technological gap had led Nokia to invent the technology while some of the negative comments made upon the early announcement of the creation of the Wibree technology were prompted partly by insufficient information in the side of the critics
