Hyperanalytic Wavelets Based Remote Sensing Images Despeckling

The acquisition of remote sensing images is affected by the presence of a multiplicative noise called speckle. This paper presents a denoising system based on the Hyperanalytic Wavelet Transform associated with a Maximum a Posteriori filter, named Adaptive Soft Thresholding filter. This filter represents the solution of an optimization problem. Some simulation results and comparisons made on remote sensing images show the performance of the proposed denoising algorithm.
