In recent days a new class of devices called IoT devices is used in e-healthcare system for the collection and processing of medical data. An IoT-based e-healthcare system consists of several wearable devices, wearable smart gadgets, and low-cost sensors that are capable of transfer of data from the patient body to the healthcare data center. However, security is a big challenge in this area as these IoT devices are vulnerable to different network attacks such as eavesdropping, interference and jamming attack, etc. This paper aims to provide a secure solution based on the blockchain technology. The data collected from the body sensors are chained in the blockchain so that data leaking and unauthorized modification will not be possible in the whole communication. Discussion of the security analysis and results prove that the model will resist different types of attacks.
