Opportunistic networks is a one of the categories of the delay tolerant networks. Networks which combines the Opportunistic and social aspects is called as opportunistic Mobile Social Network. Nodes in this type of network are mobile, they take data and pass on the data opportunistically to the other nodes based on forwarding strategy. For the effective forwarding strategy in opportunistic mobile networks the user’s social aspects are used to take a best decision for the forwarding. Routing of data is done by the use of the social metrices like centrality of node, nodes mobility pattern, community structure etc. With the use of this forwarding strategy the routing can be made more efficient. In this paper, we investigate the forwarding routing strategy which is based on social properties. We discuss the protocols which are based on social mobility pattern, community and mix of social and context-based information.
